About Alexandra
Hi I'm Alexandra, the founder of Alessandra Avenue.
My journey in the world of sewing and fashion began with a childhood admiration for my grandmother, a talented seamstress. Eager to follow my passion, I left my parents' home at just 16 to pursue an apprenticeship in a different city in Germany, where I developed my skills to become a fashion designer and custom tailor. At 19, I went on a journey to New Zealand, which unexpectedly became my new home.
While I initially worked as a tailor, my true passion for sewing and patternmaking took root over the years, becoming my creative sanctuary. Today, I am thrilled to share my knowledge and passion with fellow sewing enthusiasts, empowering them to craft their own timeless garments.
